The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
